Here's one of the simplest high-value treats you can make and give! One Ingredient and oh so simple. These bad boys are packed with vitamins and minerals. That being said means you can’t feed them them by the hand full! A dog W size would get one or two bite sized pieces every other day.
Ingredients
• Raw chicken livers
You will need • a baking sheet • parchment paper • an oven • a knife •a cutting board
Preheat oven to 220°F. Cut livers into bite size pieces. That will vary depending upon your dog. Line baking sheet with your parchment paper. Place cut livers on parchment liner sheet. Not touching the other pieces.
Cook 2-4 hrs depending on the size. Let cool. You can store in an air tight container for 7-9 days. You may freeze extras and they are good for around 60 days. You can thaw as needed or feed frozen as a meal topper.
Benefits of liver
The liver is a nutrient-rich organ meat that most dogs readily eat. The liver can provide your dog with protein, fat and vitamin A, all of which help him stay healthy if offered in moderation. The liver is also a good source of copper, iron, niacin, phosphorus, and zinc. It provides many B vitamins, omega-3, and omega-6 fatty acids, and essential amino acids your dog needs from their diet to keep them healthy.
reminder do not overfeed!!!! Dogs cannot excrete extra vitamins and minerals they consume. I am not a vet this is just a treat we feed and always be an advocate in your pets diet and health needs. Research ❤️
